Privacy Policy

Last updated:

Wivity Inc. (“Wivity,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website at wivity.com and Wivity Link, a hosted service that lets apps you connect, such as AI assistants, act on your accounts with other online services, such as LinkedIn, with your permission. This policy explains what information we collect through them, how we use and share it, and the choices you have.

Wivity also provides SignerSet. The SignerSet app, portal, and coordination service are covered by the SignerSet Privacy Policy. This policy does not cover the online services you use through Wivity Link, such as LinkedIn, or the apps you connect to it, which their providers operate under their own privacy policies.

Information we collect

Messages to us

When you send us a message through our website’s contact form or by email, we receive the information you provide, such as your name, email address, phone number, company, industry, and message.

Signing in to Wivity Link

You sign in to Wivity Link with your SignerSet account. SignerSet tells us your account, email address, and the organization you chose, and whether that account may use Wivity Link.

Information from online services

When you connect an account with an online service, such as LinkedIn, you sign in on that service’s own website, and we never see your password for it. With your approval, the service gives us:

  • An identifier for your account with that service. Some services, such as LinkedIn, issue a different identifier to each app, so ours is specific to Wivity Link.
  • The basic profile information the service shares with your approval, such as your name and profile photo.
  • The permissions you granted and when they expire.
  • An access token, which lets us act on your account with that service within those permissions.

Wivity Link currently works with LinkedIn. When we add a service that shares other kinds of information, we will update this policy.

Requests from apps you connect

When an app you connected uses Wivity Link, it sends us requests, such as the text of a LinkedIn post or comment to publish, a reaction, or a request to read comments. We pass each request to the service it is for and return that service’s response, such as identifiers for posts and comments or the text of comments, to the app.

Each app tells us its name, web address, and where to return you after sign-in. We show these on our consent page so you can check which app is asking for access.

Technical information

When you visit our website or use Wivity Link, we and our hosting providers automatically receive technical information such as IP addresses, browser and device information, request logs, and error data.

How Wivity Link handles access to your accounts

We act on your account with an online service only when an app you connected asks us to, and only within the permissions you approved on our consent page and on that service.

The apps you connect never receive a service’s access token in a form they can read or use. We place the token, encrypted, inside the credentials we issue to the app, and only Wivity Link can decrypt it. We do not keep these tokens in our databases, except encrypted for the brief moment needed to complete sign-in.

We keep a record of each connection: your SignerSet account and organization, the app, the service, your account identifier with that service, the permissions you granted, and when they expire. We also keep a one-way fingerprint of each credential we issue, so that we can recognize and revoke it. Neither can be used to access your account with the service.

We check your SignerSet account when you connect and while the connection is in use. If your organization removes you or turns off your access, Wivity Link stops accepting requests for your account.

We keep a record of the actions we carry out for you, such as the kind of action, its target, when it happened, the service’s request identifiers, and the result, together with a fingerprint of the request that lets us prevent duplicate actions, such as the same post published twice. We do not keep the content you send, such as the text of posts or comments, by default. If we keep it to resolve a problem, we keep it only briefly.

How we use information

We use information to:

  • Respond to your messages and inquiries.
  • Sign you in, check your access, and carry out the requests of apps you connect.
  • Show you which app is asking for access and what it will be able to do.
  • Prevent duplicate actions and keep use within our limits and those of each service.
  • Secure our services, prevent abuse, and fix problems.
  • Respond to support and privacy requests.
  • Comply with law and the terms of the services we work with, and enforce our terms.

We use information from online services only to provide Wivity Link to you.

We do not sell or rent personal information, share it for targeted advertising, or track people across other companies’ apps and websites.

We do not use information from online services, the content you send through Wivity Link, or your messages to us to train AI models, to advertise to you, or to build profiles about you, and our service providers may not do so.

How we share information

Apps you connect

Wivity Link returns the results of each request to the app that made it, including content from the service and your name and account identifier. You choose which apps to connect, and each app handles that information under its own privacy policy. If the app is an AI assistant, its provider may process the information to answer you. Connect only apps you trust.

Online services

We send each online service the requests that you and your connected apps make to it. Each service handles them under its own privacy policy.

SignerSet

To check your access, we send SignerSet your account and organization identifiers. Administrators of your SignerSet organization decide whether its members may use Wivity Link.

Service providers

We use service providers to run our website and services, including providers of hosting and databases, website hosting and forms, email, and domain name services. They process information on our behalf, receive only what their role requires, and are bound by terms that require them to protect it. You can ask us for a current list of our service providers.

Legal requirements and business transfers

We may disclose information when we believe in good faith that the law requires it, to protect the rights, safety, or security of Wivity, our users, or others, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. In a merger, acquisition, or sale, this policy continues to apply to the information transferred.

Cookies

Our website does not use analytics or advertising cookies. Wivity Link uses a cookie only to keep your sign-in secure while you connect an app, and the sign-in pages of SignerSet and of the services you connect may use their own. Blocking these cookies can prevent sign-in.

Our website and services do not respond to browser Do Not Track signals.

Retention

We keep messages you send us for as long as needed to respond and follow up, and for our business records.

We keep connection records and credential fingerprints while a connection can be used, and delete them after the credentials we issued for it expire. We keep records of actions and technical logs for a limited period, as needed to secure Wivity Link, prevent duplicate actions, resolve problems and disputes, and meet legal obligations.

Copies of deleted information may remain for a time in backups, logs, and our providers’ systems.

Security

We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect information, such as encryption and access controls. Access tokens from the services you connect exist only in encrypted form outside the moment we use them. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of information.

Your choices and rights

You can disconnect an app at any time in that app. Disconnecting ends that app’s access through Wivity Link.

Some services, such as LinkedIn, continue to list Wivity Link among the apps with access to your account until you remove it in that service’s settings, and do not let us remove it for you. Removing it there ends Wivity Link’s access to that account for every app you connected.

Your SignerSet organization’s administrators can turn off your access to Wivity Link.

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your information by emailing info@wivity.com. We verify requests before acting on them, for example by confirming them with the email address on your SignerSet account.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law. Contact us to exercise them.

International use and children

We are based in the United States and process information there and in other countries where our providers operate.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process personal information to provide Wivity Link at your request, to respond to your inquiries, and for our legitimate interests in operating and securing our services. You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability of your information, object to its processing, and lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Our website and services are intended for business use and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If we make a material change that significantly reduces how we protect information we already hold, we will give notice on this page or by email before the change takes effect. If you continue to use our website or services after an update, the updated policy applies.
